Machine for optimizing personal pedometer results.

The device simulates the movement of human steps as
the technology sees them. The sensors and software
of the pedometers are fooled by the jerky up and down motion into counting. The machine allows the user to adjust the step speed so that the user gets a more or less realistic result. During the activity, a metallic sound pulse is generated with each step.

The electronics that control the step simulator are the same as those of metronomes. The rubber bands balance the pedometer and give it a more organic movement.

In the exhibition, the pedometer counts from the beginning (again) every day, so that you can observe the distance covered by the device at the end of the day.
